Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Pharmacists'
Professional Society of the San Fernando Valley (PPSSFV)
home on the web! Here Valley pharmacists will find
information about PPSSFV's activities, including meeting
dates, upcoming events and continuing education programs.
You'll also be able to find information on PPSSFV/CPhA
membership. For our patients, we've included a directory to
help you locate specialty pharmacist services in your area
as well as links to other pharmacy, medical, and academic
web sites.
PPSSFV is one of the largest and strongest local affiliates
of the California Pharmacists' Association, the state's
largest professional organization devoted to the advancement
of pharmacy and the role pharmacists play in serving the
healthcare needs of Californians. We are proud to represent
pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy students
from all practice settings.
Our Board of Directors is comprised of some twenty people
and includes representatives from industry, students, as
well as practicing pharmacists. Board meetings are held the
first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM. (please see Event
Calendar for location). Dinner is served beforehand
and all are welcome to attend
We are also pleased to offer continuing education meetings
the fourth Wednesday of each month (except July, August and
December) at Valley Presbyterian Hospital's Health Education
Center on Vanowen Street. Further information on each
month's program is available in the Calendar of Events on
this web site, by e-mail, and via postcard mailings to
PPSSFV members.
I want to take this opportunity to encourage any suggestions
and comments you may have about this web site or PPSSFV.
Please feel free to contact me at cmchally@prodigy.net.
Wishing you the best of health!
Craig M. Chally, PharmD
Past President, PPSSFV
